John SchmidlkoferOwner/Operator John opened Westside Auto Repair, Inc., on November 1, 2001, after working for an independent for twenty years. He likes to run a clean, efficient shop. His primary goal is to keep his customers happy and gain new customers by establishing a good reputation within the community. John's family has supported him in his professional endeavors. Wife, Julie, helps to take care of the financial side of the business. His children; Janae, Jessica and Joel, often help with "special projects".
Jose Canake
Automotive TechnicianJose began working for Westside Auto Repair in March of 2004. He came to us with 6 years of experience. He has also attended CTI (Carquest Technical Institute) for two years. Jose's talents include drivability diagnostics and engine repair. He is fluent in both English and Spanish, truly an asset to the company. Jose enjoys fishing, music and playing the keyboard in a band.
Bert Can Loeza
Automotive Technician Bert, previously of Bert & Jose's Auto Repair, has returned! We love to have him working at the shop. (Pictured as a cartoon because we can't get him in front of a camera.)
Aron Ooley
Automotive TechnicianAron began working part-time for Westside Auto Repair in February 2004 while completing the 2 year Automotive Service Excellence Program (ASEP) at Portland Community College. He now works full-time at the shop. Aron has proven himself to be a motivated employee that interacts well with the public. Aron (a.k.a. Bruno) likes playing the drums, camping, hunting, fishing and four-wheeling. The resident jokester (if you see change on the floor of the shop, do not try to pick it up, Aron has probably glued it to the floor...).
Jessie Schmidlkofer
Office AssistantThe pleasant voice you may hear answering the telephone. Jessie helps out at the shop to earn extra money until she can find a "real" job. (Dutch Brothers would be nice!)
